We have thought hard and discussed back and forth about the upcoming government review of Manchester’s tier. Even if we go into Tier 2 on the 17th/18th, it gives us too little time to take reservations for the 18th-20th (the dates we initially planned to reopen our sit in service if we moved into tier 2). 

We have therefore made the decision to continue to open as a shop for you to collect tea and teaware purchased online and for you to purchase tea and teaware in person. We will also run take away drinks service and sweets items (and some additional early Christmas cakes) preorder collection during those days.

We really miss serving you on quiet tea time days and casual Sundays and we cannot wait until next year to return to these services. But in the mean time, if you are local, please come to support us! If you are shielding or live far away, please consider supporting us through our online shop. We post tea and tea ware worldwide. Every little helps!
